NEW PET *SQUIRKY* Avaliable 5-23-17

I woke up this morning, in my sleepy still not fully awake stupor ..... looking at my WOW launcher, I see......

I always get excited when I see stuff like this ...

I clicked it ..... leading me to...  HERE

I was thinking ..... wait, isn't there a pet that was not available in game yet (on my list of pets I haven't gotten yet) named SQUIRKY ....  ???

I check, and sure enough.... IT IS ON MY LIST, as one of the six pets that were available on the PTR and not in the live game yet....  YESHHHHHHHHH ....  Now I'm totally engaged with finding out more..

I - at first - thought,  OH...with the plush, it must be like the other two plush/in-game pet combo things they had before, but nope.  This is just the plush....

AND there is the in-game-pet, completely not connected... well, I mean connected but not connected.... 

I dive into the research ... I search my favorite place for anything Battle Pet related, WarcraftPets(dot)com ....

Still as a "Coming Soon" pet....... hummmmm......

And then I dive in deeper into research...  and this is what I find....

Off the coast of Aszuna on Seabreek Isle (19,20), closest flight point (it seems) is Challiane's Terrace

So that's where I went, to that flight point, furthest north, and I went to the water and ran on the water (with my Water Strider mount.)  I got to the point where I was right across from the island and I could see it....

So I went out there (see my little toon icon on the map aboce, yep - right out there..... I thought, it's in the waters that will bring up FATIGUE and eventually kill your toon, but nope, the fatigue bar didn't even come up.

So I am sitting there.....

And I get closer...

And eventually, as I'm scouting the island (I literally went all around it to see if I could find one access point where there wasn't a ton of badies that were going to kill me),  but I see there is a SEA of 110 ELITE Murloc ALL OVER THE ISLAND and all around EVERY pet battle...  and I'm just a lonely squishy mage .... who's going to die....

(Re-plays the days of being a newbie in Goldshire at the Murloc camps where they do nothing but EAT YOUR FACE OFF) .... yep....  that happened....

But another toon came along and created an opening so I didn't get attacked by three million Murloc and die instantly. (but I did die) plus I have my Invisibility so I can use that and engage the fight and not get DEAD.  And that's exactly what I did, basically 3 times ...but I still died when I first ran up onto the island getting agroo'd by some lone sneaking freaking Murloc, and then I figured out the plan and yep - I got this!) ...

I used my Go-To Team ... 

Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling
(1,2,2)  Breath, Thunderbolt, Decoy

Pandaren Water Spirit
(1,2,1) Water Jet, Dive, Whirlpool

Chrominius
(1,1,2) Bite, Howl, Surge

Even though the Howl Bomb was nerf'd at the expansion pre-launch ...  it's still my go-to-team.

This set-up beat all three Squirkys that I collected.  This is what I got ....

Two Whites and one Green - and I didn't TRY to get a blue or anything.  All of them are B/B (Balanced) ......  From what I've read, most people are getting mostly grey and white, I hadn't even seen anyone get a green before I did.  (in the comments I read) ..

But, Squirky is worth the blue stons!  S/he has the following attacks....

Top Row: Punch, Clobber, and For Adventure!
Bottom Row: Fish Slap, Stampede, and Bubble

I got a screenshot of Squirky doing For Adventure!  It's kinda cute!!  He blows a horn and it makes a horn sound!  Heehee...

Definitely cute.  Pretty easy to get, especially if you can kill several 110 Elites without getting dead.

Draenor Pet Battle Master - VESHARR

Hello!!

Today's blog is about how to beat VESHARR ... one of the six Pet Battle Master Tamers in Draenor.

Vesharr is the Spires Of Arak area Tamer.

(I usually do in order of Ashlei, Vesharr, Taralune, Tarr, then hearth to my Garrison, heal pets for free, and then go do Cymre and last with Gargra. However if you are doing it via flight points w/o stopping at the Garrison, I switch Gargra and Cymre around)

To get to Vesharr ....  I take a flight to the Veil Terokk flight point in Spires of Arak.  (I either harth to my Garrison to get a free healing of my pets, or I just take the flight from Embaari Village after the battle wtih Ashlei) Once there I get on my Swift Lovebird and go down the hill from the flight point and he's right there.  His coordinates are 46.3, 45.3.

This is the one Trainer where I don't mount up ...  as you can see the Flight Master there.... 

You literally turn just a little bit, and you can see Vesharr right down the hill!  Easy-peasy to find.  

Vesharr is one of the bird guys you find all over Spires of Arak, one of the Arakkoa Outcasts.

If you've done your questing in Spires of Arak you've been around him a lot.  He has his three pets. The first out is his bird, The Great Kaliri, and then his Apexis Guardian comes out, and last is Darkwing.

If you do this challenge correctly, there is a VERY good chance that you will kill off Darkwing, before you are even done with the second fight or the Apexis Guardian.

SO.....  Don't forget to HEAL your battle pets before starting the fight.

Vesharr has the following:

There are two different ways I have done these fights.  The first one is the one I am currently doing - mainly because I'm a nob sometimes and FORGET to throw the Carry pet in the first slot and Chrominius in the second, but the second fight is definitely the better one.  But incase you are like me, and a complete nob sometimes, I'll include the first one too.  Ha ha!  

The Carry Pet slot, you can throw YOUR Elekk Plushie in for your An Awfully Big Adventure achievement.

Slot One: Chrominius 

1. Arcane Explosion
2. Ancient Blessing
3. Surge of Power

Slot Two: Carry (can be lvl 1)

Slot Three: Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling

1. Breath
2. Thunderbolt
3. Decoy

Fight 1: The Great Kaliri 

I basically spam Arcane Explosion (which actually effects ALL the challenging pets) and throw an Ancient Blessing in the middle.
So I'm pushing: 1, 1, 1, 2, 1, 1 - and The Great Kaliri is usually dead. 

Fight 2: Apexis Guardian 

So after The Great Kaliri dies, and Apexis Guardian comes in - I switch out to my Carry pet. Apexis Guardian will do the Entangling Roots, which won't really effect the Carry pet.  Do not throw out a spell from your Carry pet, if you do, you'll end up watching your Carry pet die.  Throwing it out there will be good enough for it to get XP.  Once the Entangled Roots lets your pet go (which will just be a quick thing) you will want to switch out to your Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling.  Once you do, the Apexis Guardian will throw out a spell which will likely kill your Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling. But don't worry!  Your Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling will come back to life, thanks to it being a mechanical pet.  Once he does (if he died, or even if he didn't) ... throw up your Decoy, and then the Thunderbolt, and then spam Breath until the Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling dies.  Once that happens, switch back to Chrominius and spam Arcane Explosion until the Apexis Guardian dies.  If you think you are getting too low on health, you can throw out an Ancient Blessing, but I usually don't.
I push: (sw-Ca), (sw-MPD), (attack will likely kill MPD-but he comes back to life), 3, 2, 1, 1, (MPD dies), (sw-Ch), 1 ... 

Fight 3: Darkwing

If Darkwing didn't die during the Arcane Blast/Thunderbolt party - just spam Arcane Blast until he dies.
I sometimes end up pushing - 1, 1, 1 

 ** Since writing this blog up - I kinda switched things up a bit.  I throw my carry out first, and then continue with the fights - Chrominius and then finishing off with the Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling. IF IF IF you are doing another level 1 Carry, use the above fight with the Carry pet thrown out second.**

There is another fight that I have done (in my notes).

Here is the other way that I have done things....

Slot One: Carry (can be lvl 1)

Slot Two: Chrominius 

1. Arcane Explosion
2. Ancient Blessing
3. Surge of Power

Slot Three: Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling

1. Breath
2. Thunderbolt
3. Decoy

Fight 1: The Great Kaliri
So your Carry pet is in the first slot.  You just do any attack with it.  It can be a level one.  Once you do only one fight on the Carry pet, you switch out to your second pet, Chrominius.  You spam Arcane Explosion until about half health (usually 2 or 3 spells) and then hit your Ancient Blessing, and go back to spamming Arcane Explosion until The Great Kaliri died.
Push: (any), (sw-Ch), 1, 1, 2, 1, 1, 1, (until dead)

Fight 2: Apexis Guardian
When Apexis Guardian comes out, immediately switch to the Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling (you'll notice that Chorminius is rarther a poor choice against Apexis Guardian).  Because you switch, the Entangling Roots will hit you, and then you immediately throw out your Decoy to block that horrible 2nd spell that the Apexis Guardian throws out that kills off the MPD in the first battle. Then you throw out the Thunderbolt, and spam Breath until the Apexis Guardian dies.
Push: (sw-MPD), 3, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, etc

Fight 3: Darkwing
Most likely, if you do this fight, Darkwing will be dead and you won't need to do anything.  However if he does come out, with very minimal health, you just spam Breath.
Push: 1, 1, 1

And your Carry pet goes from lvl 11 to lvl 16 (if you have continued with the same Carry pet like I have)

Once you finish this fight, and collect your reward ... you can click on him again, and Vesharr sells a little something something.   Prices may be different depending on your reputation with the Arakkoa Outcasts.

Draenor Pet Battle Master - ASHLEI

Hello!!

Today's blog is about how to beat ASHLEI ... one of the six Pet Battle Master Tamers in Draenor.  I think this is the EASIEST fight of the six of them.  

Ashlei is the Shadowmoon Valley area Tamer. 

(I usually do in order of Ashlei, Vesharr, Taralune, Tarr, then hearth to my Garrison, heal pets for free, and then go do Cymre and last with Gargra. However if you are doing it via flight points w/o stopping at the Garrison, I switch Gargra and Cymre around)

To get to Ashlei ....  I take a flight to the Embaari Village flight point in Shadowmoon Valley.  Once there I get on my Water Strider and go down the hill, across the water, and up the path to the hill she is on.  Her coordinates are 50.0, 31.3.  She's up on a hill - Saraah's Vale.

So some of these Trainers are harder to find, especially if you've never even seen them before.  So Ashlei is pretty easy, but at the same time, it can be kinda confusing.  So this is how I think of it....

I can fly in Draenor, but that may not be the case for you. 

So I land (at the flight master) and I get on my mount.  You see the Flight Master to the left, and the arrow is pointing in the direction you want to go.  You just follow the path.  

Once you see the hill start to angle down you can see the pond at the bottom of the hill ...  

So if you can fly, and you go up...  you see the pond, and the there is a hill in the distance, and that is where Ashlei is.  If you cannot fly, you can see how the path goes around the pond and there is a path that goes  between those buildings in the distance and the hill ... "Saraah's Vale" ... 

So if you have to go by ground, you can see how the trail kinda curves in the opposite direction.  So you have to go off the path and then find the sweet spot up the back side of the hill. 

Ashlei is a little Draenei girl, frankly she's adorable.

She has three pets with her (they all do.)  She has brought along the following... Pixiebell, a Fey Dragon, Doodle, an Elekk Plushie, and Tally who looks like one of the Young Silverpelts running around Shadowmoon Valley.

Ashlei and her crew are really a SOLO PET BATTLE FIGHT.  But this is an AMAZING battle to level up a Pet from 1 to (usually) 11 or 12.  And I take along Chrominius because I use the same team for the 2nd battle in Draenor that I do (Vesharr) ...

The Carry Pet slot, you can throw YOUR Elekk Plushie in for your An Awfully Big Adventure achievement.

Slot One: Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling

1. Breath
2. (either but I use) Thunderbolt
3. Decoy

Slot Two: Chrominius (won't be needed)

1. Arcane Explosion
2. Ancient Blessing
3. Surge of Power

Slot Three: Carry (can be lvl 1)  AND/OR Elekk Plushie for An Awfully Big Adventure

The fight is so crazy simple with the Dragonling it is pretty much a one pet strategy but you  gotta throw your CARRY pet .

FIGHT 1:  Pixiebell
With this fight, you throw out the Decoy, then Thunderbolt because you can, and then spam Breath until dead.
So I usually push the following - 3, 2, 1, 1, 1 (and Pixiebell should be dead). 

FIGHT 2: Doodle
The Plushie comes out for a few rounds.  Then Ashlei will switch it up, and at the end throw the Plushie back out.  You can either spam Breath, or you can throw out Thunderbolt when it comes back up off of cooldown, which is what I usually do.
So I push the following - 1, 2 and after I press 1 again, Ashlei switches out to Tally, and the Breath hits Tally instead of Doodle.

FIGHT 3: Tally
Like I just said, the last Breath from the last round will start out this round.  It only usually takes a few more spamming of Breath to take care of Tally.  Usually Decoy comes off of cooldown this round, but you don't need to use it again.
So I push - 1, 1, and usually Tally is dead.

FIGHT 4: Doodle (again)
Doodle comes back up after Tally is dead.  And since Doodle does ZERO damage what so ever to your pets, this is a WONDERFUL time to throw out your Carry Pet.  So as soon as Doodle comes out, I hit switch, and then select my Carry pet, do one attack on them (whatever 1 is) and then switch back to my Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling.  I then spam Breath.
So push - (sw-Ca), 1, (sw-MPD), 1, 1, 1, 1

And then you'll be done with the fight and your carry pet (in my case Trunks) will be a lvl 11.

Sadly, there are about ... 33 I don't think I can get anymore without the help of a time machine and/or E-bay and a stack of real dollah bill money I don't have....

So until I win the lottery ... and become H.G. Wells.... or the Doctor ...or even Marty McFly (and can go back in time)
